TO OUR MEMBERS IMPACTED BY COVID-19:
On April 15, the Richmond LGBTQ Chamber will begin providing $250 micro-grants to those experiencing personal financial hardship. Application details will be announced soon.
ALL SCHEDULED EVENTS HAVE BEEN CANCELLED.
In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Richmond LGBTQ Chamber will comply with the CDC, the Commonwealth of Virginia and the City of Richmond. As of March 18, 2020, we will no longer hold in-person events for a minimum of 8 weeks. All scheduled events have been cancelled. If you are a volunteer the upcoming volunteer meeting will now be a conference call.
We know these next few weeks will be hard for each of us. Business owners and professionals alike should make a plan to minimize the effects of this event. For those of us who struggle with keeping our business running while protecting employees and the public there is assistance available. The CDC has issued guidance for small businesses and employers as well as recommendations for cleaning and disinfection. Also, the Small Business Administration’s Economic Injury Disaster Loan program can provide working capital loans of up to $2 million.
If you have not already, please take the time to review them as they can help tamper the continued spread of disease and panic. Hopefully our efforts will allow us to return to business as usual sooner than later.
In these difficult times it is imperative that we support one another. We pride ourselves on the Richmond LGBTQ Chamber being YOUR chamber of commerce and want you to know that we are here to support you during this time. There will be a Relief Fund available in Mid April to members of the Chamber experiencing personal and/or financial hardship. If you find yourself in need, please email us at info@RichmondLGBTQChamber.org.
Funds are limited so we ask if you can to please donate to the Relief Fund and help other business owners and professionals in the community. A little can go a long way.
We will continue to communicate any updates as they happen. Please stay safe and use your best judgement over the next several weeks to help keep our community protected. Thank you all for your continued support of the Richmond LGBTQ Chamber.
